Brian C. Idocks Portrait Let’s get real! As a professional photographer our day to day clients are not models. We don’t photograph perfect people in perfect light at perfect locations. We make the best images we can with what we have available to us.

Brian Idocks strives to make EVERY ONE of his images top quality, no matter what the situation. Watch and learn Brian’s photographic process in a live session with REAL people with less than perfect lighting. Let Brian teach you how to make it great, no matter what! You will learn valuable tips on posing lighting, composition, and how to work with real people.

Then… Let’s take those images to the next step. Work with Lightroom to edit and process and make them even better. Brian will finish off with some Photoshop retouching to make the final image Brianized! It is a jam-packed, fun-filled time that you will not want to miss!

About Brian
Brian Idocks is a Wedding Photographer based in Tampa Bay and has quickly become one of the most sought after Wedding Artists in his area. He has photographed weddings for over 20 years. Brian’s unique style of print finishing along with his romantic approach to photographing weddings have set him apart. He speaks to guilds throughout the state as well as teaches classes on a variety of topics at his in home studio. Brian strives to promote the profession of photography and has a website dedicated to sharing knowledge with other professionals. Brian was awarded “2007 Photographer of the Year” by the Tampa Area Professional Photographers Association and was included in the FPP “2008 Top Ten Florida Photographers”. In 2008 Brian was also awarded “2008 Tampa Professional Photographers Association Photographer of the Year” and “2008 Bay Professional Photographers Photographer of the Year”. In 2007 he received his PPA Certification. He gave a Super Monday for PPA in 2008.

New Information Regarding Monthly Guild Meetings

We have been able to work out a new arrangement with JJ Muggs Stadium Grill in Abacoa. This arrangement makes it more cost effective for the Guild as well as for those members who enjoy eating dinner and socializing before the monthly meeting. Please make note of the following changes. Also please refer to and print a copy of the linked map to help prevent confusion with parking.

JJ Muggs is a located at a convenient central location, halfway between those who come from the south and those who come from the north, not far from I-95. Visit JJMuggsGrill.com

Directions From I-95: Take I-95 to Donald Ross Road (Exit 83). Go east 1/8 mile and take 2nd left onto Parkside Drive (Abacoa Entryway). Pass FAU (right side) and turn right at University Blvd. Follow University to Edna Hibel Way. Turn left for Garage. JJ Muggs is on the corner of Town Center Drive and Edna Hibil Way.

Dinner at 5:30 PM
For those who wish to come a little earlier, dinner now starts at 5:30 PM. More time to relax and socialize. Also helps the wait staff keep from getting bogged down with too many orders all at once.

Members: $10

Non-Members: $25

The menu has a great selection of appetizers, sandwiches, salads and dinner choices. The prices are reasonable. We encourage more members to come early for dinner and network with other photographers. Being able to socialize and network with others is a great way to not only share tips, ideas and solutions, but also to become better acquainted, make friends, and work out possible future job sharing arrangements and opportunities.
